At ‘Israeli’ Stratiic Affairs Ministry’s request, social media platform Twitter has shut down nearly 200 pro-Palestine and Palestinian accounts for expressing their rejection to Israeli illegal annexation plan.
The campaign is aimed at silencing voices critical of ‘Israeli’ war crimes against Palestinian people and showing support for Palestinian rights.
The suspended accounts were promoting calls for ‘Israel’ to be held accountable for war crimes at the International Criminal Court, according to a report by the ‘Israeli’ ministry.
One prominent account that was suspended without prior notice is VPalestine, an online advocacy group which had over 12,000 followers.
